The Immaculate Misconception (2006) Reviews
A surprisingly good film!!
this movie is extremely well made, a great story line, an ALLSTAR cast and just a lot of fun to watch!! The film keeps your interest through the entire film with comedic spots and humorous situations. I definitely recommend this film as a keeper. Try and find a better quality cast for such a low budget film you can't do it...casting in this film was brilliant--from Courtnee to Tom Toner, Jayne Houdyshell...and on and on.. When this hits the theatre and/or DVD it will be the sleeper hit of the year. And the soundtrack is even a BIG part of the production value--"Dear Mary" song will be a breakout hit and the music throughout the film carries it well and is a great soundtrack. Loved this film!!

This movie had awesome filming techniques. Most of the sites in Jersey City were recognizable adding a touch of familiarity to the film. The actors were very good; except in some cases the accents seemed to be feigned. In other cases, they were perfect! The best thing about this film, however, was the plot. The subtleties and innuendos kept me ever alert not to miss something. This movie was done in very good taste. It did not distort the biblical story nor attempt to minimize it. Rather the script was done more like a classic of literature. One had to read between the lines to better understand it. I would see this film again; it was really done well. Irene Peduto
