Spring Thaw Oozes With Style!
Spring Thaw pays homage to those classic drive-in movies of yesteryear. The story of Spring Thaw revolves around a traveling carnival that makes the city of Roseville, Michigan it's home for one month during the spring of 1940. The owner of the carnival is murdered and his wife, a gypsy fortune teller, puts a curse on the city to avenge her husbands death. Seventy-five years later a television news reporter becomes obsessed with the story and accidentally unleashes the soul of the gypsy woman who takes out her revenge on the city. In one scene, Stanley honors Roseville with a montage of shots that are truly Americana and then in an instant he rips all that away and puts you in the middle of disaster. Spring Thaw oozes with style. It's retro look really works. To borrow from 1970's slang...Far Out Man!
