This is a story about a woman, but not completely a woman, because she is funny and plump, because she is a comedienne and being a female comedienne is very difficult work. During the whole time, the comedienne gets in the way of the woman and the woman # in the way of the comedienne. In fact, nothing in the life of this woman is 'completely'. She is an actress, but not completely. She is playing the role of her life, but not completely. In the end she dies, but not completely.

I'm commenting on this movie not because I have much to say about it, but because there are no other comments and the plot summary doesn't do the movie justice. Nothing really happens in the movie. I mean, it is easy to write a plot summary for a James Bond movie; after all he does save the world. But how do you write that everything that happens is on her face? The expressions she makes. The way she perceives the world like a child. If it's windy she will pretend to be blown back and froth. If she wants to travel she will pretend to be a locomotive. She believes that her man will fall from the sky and she doesn't want to get thin for him to have something soft to land on. The title the director had for the movie was Hopeless comedy. It was meant as a comedy and it is funny(not American pie or Scary movie funny, actually funny; at one point it gets Charlie Chaplin funny). But it is actually a sad story. Not heartbreaking. Not pathetic (the director turns everything into comedy). Just sad. The thing being I liked the movie. It isn't the best movie I ever saw. But I liked it. It is strange, different. Worth seeing. Though it lasts long. I had no problem sitting through it, but it lasts long. At one point the friend I went with actually looked at her watch to see if she was running late for the next movie shown in the very same movie theater. And she liked it,too. Nothing I say can prepare for what you will see if you go and watch it. Based on the plot summary I was expecting something completely different. And I don't know what I had to have been told to expect something like this. Anyway, for anybody with a little patience this is a unexpected movie worth seeing.

Absurd,Abstract and Felinisque.Really unique for Bulgaria.Must see.(for Bulgarians)Tedy Moskov should make more movies.I am totally agree with the previous comment ,You can't speak about this movie .You need to see it for yourself.It's not so funny,deep,dramatic,pathetic etc. ,but there is something about it.This "something" that makes the films to work on us. It is very rare to see it in a Bulgarian movie ,so I am very happy to find it in RAPSODIYA V BYALO.Maya Novoselska is prefect as always and I really feel sorry that there aren't many films with her ,so more people to watch and to know her ,not only in Bulgaria.There are also a lot's of famous actors in episodic roles.Some of the shots are composed as an art photography ,other as abstract pictures.There are really smart dialog and for the first time "swears" sound good in Bulgarian.(I mean that they are just in place ,not used just for "color")Like for example- -Our love is only platonic! - I don't know what is that ,but I really want to f*ck you .
