Awful
Serge Renart, a TV journalist turned has-been and Natacha Bison, a war reporter dismissed from the job because too dangerous for his colleagues, find themselves obliged to investigate together a case that will take them to Thailand in search of one of the best-kept secrets in contemporary history... What really happened during the televised broadcast of the Apollo 11 mission, where for the first time the man stepped on the moon? Seen on TV, I really lost my time. It is a distressing nullity! The story has no credibility, the scenario is pitiful, scenes accumulate and are more and more pathetic, clichés are ubiquitous. Alice Taglioni is always the same, she is a very bad actress. I did not feel any emotion, not a laugh, not a sadness, not a joy, just boredom and telling me: why the heck am I watching this? To avoid at all costs!
misfire
During the first moon landing, something unforeseen happened. In our present day and age, two French journalists try to find out the secret behind the suppressed footage. The key to the secret can be found in Bangkok... If you, dear reader, say "Bangkok ? why Bangkok, of all places ?", then I've got both good and bad news for you. The good news is, that you've got a working brain. The bad news is, that this fact might disqualify you from enjoying the movie. I can sort of guess where the various makers of the movie were trying to go here : a comical adventure romp in the "Indiana Jones" tradition. (Temples ! Jungle ! Pursuits ! Government conspiracies ! A cute orphan with eyes as big as saucers !) However, it is but a pale and lazy effort, which feels like a copy of a copy of a copy. It is not entirely hopeless, mainly thanks to the charming performances, but it definitely needed more : more plot, more story, more rhythm, more wit, more imagination. On the plus side : I have been told reliably that Thailand is a supremely beautiful country inhabited by kind and hospitable people. So it's likely that cast and crew had an enjoyable time.
