Out of the blue, the poor door-to-door salesman, Alekos Merjesolis, decides to pay a visit to the affluent Athenian industrialist, Aristos Merjesolis, having a very important announcement to make: the stranger who shares the same surname with Aristos, claims that he is his stepson. Having already fallen in love with Sophie, the beautiful daughter of a wealthy factory owner, Alekos poses as Aristos' son to win her heart, unbeknownst to him that Aristos, too, has plans of his own. However, is Sophie who she claims she is? What will happen when she finds out Alekos' lie?
