• Great story of brave people fighting for clean drinking water.

  A startling look at the incompetence (or corruption?) of the EPA, and the impacts on the lives of the residents trusting that this governmental agency would do its job. People have died, and many others have gotten sick, as a result of exposure to the TCE poured into their drinking water as industrial waste by a chemical corporation. How is that not criminal? The movie is well-paced and thoroughly researched. The story telling is concise and easy to follow, without being overly simplistic. Ms. Damien's style and command of the medium puts her in the class of great documentary filmmakers, such as Michael Moore, Alex Gibney, Werner Herzog, and Errol Morris.

• Well done documentary

  Kudos to Katie Damien and her team for a well done documentary. Facts, interviews and professional graphics are effectively combined to clearly and thoroughly cover an important story that everyone needs to see because it affects us all. I am from the area covered and just recently became aware of this film and how closely I am connected to it. Many years ago, friends in this community began dying from cancer. In the last 20 years, the number of deaths from cancer in the area is shocking. Innocent men, women and children are being poisoned every day from as simple activities as playing in their back yards. Family are suffering and dying because of the irresponsibility of companies poisoning the land; a land which, to the eye appears as green, lush, and safe mountain land. What these companies are doing is nothing less than crimes against humanity. There needs to be accountability as well as effective measures put in place to stop the madness. Watch this film. Then stand up and do something to stop companies from poisoning our back yards. The toxicity is closer to yours than you may realize.

• Dramatic presentation of a true environmental issue

  This is a well done presentation of a harmful situation affecting residents in Asheville that has been ignored by the corporation responsible and the government agencies that are suppose to protect us. This should demand action from all who see this to rectify the physical damages suffered by these people. Share this with all your friends and anyone who as a heart for protecting the environment and compassion for those who suffer from the harmful affects of the irresponsible corporation. This is about real people, preformed by real people, telling their story of the cover-up and the the injustice they have suffered far too long.
