• The Girl Next Door meets Risky Business

  This movie is like 'The Girl Next Door' meets 'Risky Business' meets the independent flick 'The Babysitters'. Worth the watch. Has a couple of laughs at the beginning. As it progresses it gets darker and more suspenseful than the movies mentioned above. Shows how evil teenagers can be. Shows what young immigrants have to resort to in order to survive. The sex scenes are pretty funky; I liked the car scene. Hadn't seen a scene like that since 'Y Tu Mama Tambien'. I also liked the ending. It's not your typical Hollywood ending but it goes with the character. Very well done for a low-budget film.

  I saw a screening of HIGH SCHOOL GIG at the Indie Gathering Film Festival and it didn't disappoint. Definitely to be worth an hour and a half of your time. The pacing is good, the characters are memorable and the story has some real spice. Overall, it's a good drama. I liked the main character. She's crazy. And I really hated the antagonist. I hadn't seen such a sleazy and obnoxious high school character in recent movies. He's a real bastard. The movie had some raunchy sex scenes that had me shifting in my seat and a couple of suspenseful action sequences too. I will for sure buy this DVD for my collection.

  Although I play the father in this film, I have only seen the entire film for the first time this week. I can honestly say that after being involved in over 200 films as an actor, this has turned out to be one of the best, regardless of budget. The story rings true, the actors are believable, and the situation the characters find themselves in, are very real, especially in todays economy. There is no doubt in my mind that this story is played out every day in our world, and especially South Florida. If you fortunate enough to see this film, I know you will enjoy it, and by the the way , look for the Old man, with the bad back in the beginning, he starts the whole ball rolling.

  This was a nice little film made on a shoe string budget; this worked well for the project because it made it seem more intimate. The sexual situations could've benefited from a little nudity but were otherwise pretty well done. The setup was realistic and so was the relationships between the characters. The story was well paced and intriguing. The climax of the narrative was very well put together.

• High school prostitution.

  There have been a couple of movies done about high school prostitutes but none as riveting as this one. The reasons behind the main character's actions seem legitimate and this is what makes this story different from the rest. The performances were very good and the story was believable. I could definitely see something of this nature happening. I could've stood to see more skin from the beutiful main actress but perhaps this may have ventured the film into exploitation territory.
