For engineer Markus (Andreas Döhler), who participates in a family celebration with his wife Monika (Jessica Schwarz) and his 4-year-old son Adam, the event, planned as a happy get-together, becomes a turning point in his life when suddenly long-suppressed childhood memories come to him. The trigger is a small cut of his four-year-old son, who has just returned from the toilet with grandmother Renate (Katrin Pollitt). Markus meets the realization that he was abused as a child by his mother. At the banquet, his younger brother Johannes gives a speech to his father, which, however, emphasizes the mother's primary role in building the family business.
