Bureaucracy
A very strange but also very revealing documentary about the treatment of "foreigners" in Austria. To a certain extent it makes sense for them to put up obstacles, so that people can't just wander into Austria from all over the world. But seen in the cases and depicted like that, you do wonder, if it is sane? The documentary was part of the Internation Film Festival of Berlin and from what I could tell, the audience watching it with me, was as fascinated and appalled as I was. The human stories behind some of the weirdest and craziest bureaucratic hurdles we are being treated here are almost too bizarre to be true. And yet, here we are listening and watching them ... Not easy, but it isn't supposed to be
