A couple in their mid-twenties are about to move in together, and Silje decides to test her boyfriend Kaspar. On his birthday he receives a ticket for a trip with an unknown destination, arranged by a mysterious event bureau. They set out for a weekend at the desolate Gusøy island asylum, where their relationship is put to the test. Working for the event bureau is a couple in their late-thirties, and together Eva and Vemund arrange the trip for the two lovebirds Silje and Kaspar. Gradually Eva loses control over her own arrangements, and soon the trust between her and Vemund dissolves.
