"Amnesia: Who are you?" deals with the story of a man, David, who lost his memory after being brutally beaten up one day. As time goes by, filmmakers try to fit together the pieces of his past and uncover some things that he had maybe preferred to be left forgotten. I am really not sure if this is a mockumentary or a real biographical picture. Honestly I was quite sure that it wasn't real, but this page offers no information in this direction which makes me doubt. However, I find the thought interesting, that living a lie and keeping secrets only works if you yourself remember them and that hell may break loose once someone else investigates your life. The film is entertaining from beginning to end and at some point you do want to know what actually happened, which adds an element of mystery that suits the movie quite well. I wouldn't have needed the ending, that kind of seemed a bit unnecessary but otherwise this is one of the more interesting films I've seen in quite some time and thus I don't want to complain. All in all I advise you to give this a try if you're looking for a film that's a bit out of the frame of usual or classical filmmaking. For the rest, I guess I'll just have to investigate.
