Like a throw back to the 80's
Most definitely a guy's movie. It has a very nice retro feel to it. Like a throw back to the 80's. Classic cast of Hollywood veterans seen for the first time all together. Blood, guts and a lot of action from the start to the end. The best part is Gary Daniels he has never looked better and finally the fight scenes are done right with a Hong Kong flavor and in a Hollywood movie. He gives the proper intensity and he's back to his best performance ever!. Damn he looks good for 50 years + old! Essentially it's an all star cast movie about a hit man who kills hundreds of bad men to avenge a dead hooker and save her little sister from human trafficking. Prepare to watch the hero engage in hand-to-hand combat, then shoot, one person after another, non-stop, for the entire 97 minute run time of this movie. Every scene has a famous face in it and it's one for the action movie collection especially for fans of all these Hollywood legends.
Remarkable
Skin Traffik is the love letter to the grind house era that Rodriguez and Tarantino's Grindhouse failed to send. Every element is overdone to near perfection: the corny acting, the gratuitous bloody gore, the flamboyant action scenes and choreography. Obviously, the film latches its appeal to a very specific audience and anyone familiar with the action genre will love it, leaving the rest in the dust. But for what the film planned to achieve, you can't leave without thinking that Paiaya succeeded. Skin Traffik is cult action cinema of the highest quality. With an all-star cast to die for this independent film delivers where all others fail. It's inventive and has a lot of heart considering one man 'Ara Paiaya' made it all. Remarkable!
A very fun movie to watch
A fun action movie that doesn't break new ground. A lot of movies with ultra cool dudes don't do very well in making you believe that the main character has the skills but not this movie. This movie sets up the rest of the movie perfectly and, even though the story is about as run of the mill as it gets, it was still a very fun movie to watch. With a cast of characters perfect for this ultra 80's / 90's action style extravaganza. We meet the character Bradley a stoic – at times emotionless – demeanour, and with homages to films from action's golden age. Skin Traffik not only becomes a movie with huge connections to three previous decades due to the star studded cast. It becomes one of the best independent action films of 2015.
This picture will appeal to people who love movies
"Skin Traffik" one of those successful British efforts to do a classic Hollywood-style hunt-'em-down and beat-'em-up, comes from respectable producer and director Ara Paiaya, whose home-grown,low-budget action thriller "The Suppressor" which essentially was a lively little collection of fight scenes and stunts. In trying to broaden the scale to interest a big American / Worldwide audience with an all star cast "Skin Traffik" has been very convincing in doing so. This is a picture that will appeal mainly to people who love movies, and I use the word "love" advisedly. Viewers who love movies for their true soul - for their obviousness, for their manipulations, for their corniness, for their blend of high and low emotion - will take great pleasure in "Skin Traffik." Others, who like movies conditionally, like a wayward lover they hope to reform, may end up hating "Skin Traffik" - or at least thinking of it as something stupid, ridiculous and far-fetched.
A low budget action movie with a lot of heart and a very clear intention.
Not many people will agree with me but SKIN TRAFFIK (a.k.a A Hit-man IN London) is from one perspective a film with a lot of heart. Given that Ara Paiaya is not only the producer and director but also the editor, Cinematographer and Fight Choreographer. Also what it sets out to be is a film that delivers action at a break neck pace and it delivers in spades. The cast consist a bunch of familiar faces. Such as leading man Gary Daniels who despite being fifty isn't showing signs of slowing down. as well as Mickey Rourke, Michael Madsen, Daryl Hannah, Eric Roberts, Alan Ford, Dominique Swain and Jeff Fahey. All of which giving fine performances and adding their own special flavor. In terms of plot progression the film picks up quickly and maintains its quick pace throughout. The action comes in large doses and remains thoroughly entertaining. The story line isn't the greatest but with this type of film that's pretty much a genre trademark.
