Sequel Rule #1
Keep the actors that made the original good! Missing important people and put in bad replacements.
The nobility of futility.
Jon Lovitz revives his character Mel for Benchwarmers 2. Ben (Chris Klein) a promising ballplayer gets hit in the cup which ends his career and begins the juvenile humor and subtitle. Getting a law degree, he ends up playing for Lovitz's team with a colorful cast of badly scripted characters. The film had potential and some a couple of good one-liners, but no great running jokes. Guide: No f-words. Implied sex. No nudity. The nobility of futility.
An easy to like movie !
Benchwarmers 2: Breaking Balls is a hoot to watch and laugh with. This movie 'works' because - from start to finish - each actor comes across as taking their role to heart but not 'seriously'. In other words, they each did their best to have fun and that makes it fun for the audience. The plot is charming, each character is engaging, and the dialog is spot on for the story! It's every bit as good as the original and a must see lighthearted comedy to brighten your day.
Great Movie!!!!
At first I wasn't sure how a Benchwarmers 2 would compare to the first one. I was pleasantly surprised! Me and my daughter have watched it at least 14 times already. It's part of our repertoire now! I got my buddies to come over and we had a baseball snack time and laughed!! Good times! The characters were well played and hilarious. Definitely recommend it to be a family fav!!

These movies are funny and likable but I truly wonder if the creators actually know that fast pitch and slow pitch are two different sports.
